It's time for our guest bathroom reveal! Come check out this quaint space decorated with Turkish textiles and vintage pieces.
Today I am showing my guest bathroom in the Sunlight South house! This one is located in my office, but it is the closest bathroom to the main living area so it's the one most used by guests.
I was not looking to remodel the whole space, but I did make a few small updates to the space.
My first update was inspired by the success of my fireplace and sideboard makeover with peel and stick wallpaper. I decided to do an accent wall in my guest bathroom with a vintage inspired shiplap! I love that it is neutral, but still made the space more interesting.
The next update was installing a smart control bidet from FlexiHome! It was a little intimidating at first since I have never used one before, but it is literally a spa for your bottom. I'm talking heated seats, a night light feature, drying fan, and all that good stuff.
I love that it's sleek and has the control panel right next to it. There are so many different options to customize your experience. 🤣
Unfortunately I've always felt that bathrooms lack on the amount of outlets they have. Yes it's nice to have one for my hair dryer but what about my fancy toilet seat cover?! Luckily, I came across Sleek Sockets which helped extend the power cord without looking bulky and unorganized.
My guest bathroom is one of the only rooms where I didn't play it safe with a neutral rug. Since it's not a super high traffic area, I went with a colorful Turkish rug (you can find similar ones at this Etsy shop). It really set the tone for the space and I am obsessed!
Along with the Turkish rug are the Turkish hand towels. I have these in multiple rooms and I love that they are decorative yet functional. The guest bathroom is a darker space with no natural light, so I kept it light with this knotted fringe shower curtain.
I love adding in faux plants where real plants would not normally thrive. They are such a great way to make a room feel more welcoming and lively without requiring any maintenance!
When it comes to other bathroom accessories, I love incorporating baskets with lids to hide things like cotton rounds and Q-tips. Above the toilet I added in original Alice in Wonderland lithographs in stylish black mat frames. I love that they add a touch of surrealism without being too gaudy.
That's all for the guest bathroom! Interested in seeing more room tours? Check them out here!
