Take a tour of my chic home office and get all the design details!
I'm so excited to share this space with you! With an increasing amount of people working from home these days (me 🙋🏻♀️ ), functional home offices are more important than ever.
Welcome to the tour of my modern, chic home office . ✨
For the first time, I have a dedicated office room in a house. Let me tell you... not being tucked into the corner of a bedroom has made all the difference when it comes to my productivity and creativity levels.
It's important to have a space that fits you and your needs. What works for me may not work for you, but I hope I inspire you to create a home office you love!
The main piece in my office is this gorgeous l-shaped desk! I love that the base is open and gives a more minimalist feel. Having the extra surface area on the desk was key. Because I like to physically write down my to-dos and notes, I like a little extra room to spread out.
This leather chair and gold floor lamp balance out some of the traditional features and add a little glam. I love that when I'm at my desk I can see out my front door (for those Home Chef and Amazon deliveries) and the hallway that leads into the kitchen and living room.
My touch of blue in this room is in the boho area rug and this striped accent chair that sits in the corner. My office is not a high traffic area, so I went a more playful route with this light blue fringe rug.
Just like my command center, I wanted a clean and modern option for an office white board. I did a budget friendly upgrade to a vintage mirror and repurposed it into a white board (details here). This was the starting piece for my gallery wall.
Since this is a space just for me, I feel justified adding in more feminine touches. I added in this flamenco dancer print with a gold frame and this roses canvas to complete the gallery wall. It does a great job filling up the blank space and reflecting my personality!
On the other side of the room is the office closet. This room was made to be a bedroom, so the closet was built with a lot of hanging space. I wasn't going to settle on just making a clothing closet work and I wanted an organization system that truly tailored to my needs.
Here's where The Container Store comes in!
Twice a year they have a sale on their Elfa custom closets. Once is usually around back to school (that's when I took advantage), and the other around the new year.
Their services allow you to customize your closet so you can truly maximize the space. You choose the storage style, layout, and finish.
First, you enter the dimensions of the space you're working with. Then, you select what style of storage you want (drawers, bins, open shelving, etc.). Once you have all the pieces you want included, you get to move things around and perfect your layout.
I hope you enjoyed a glimpse into my dreamy chic office! Make sure to check out the rest of my home tour here. 🤗
